At Wonderful Machine, we work to build relationships with all sorts of blogs, publications, podcasts, associations, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations in our industry. Our Partnership efforts have two components: sharing industry information and publicizing our member photographers. In May, we saw a combination of articles republished, from Photographer Spotlights to Expert Advice and Specialty.
We often collaborate with AI-AP‘s photography blog, Pro Photo Daily. This month, they shared three of our articles, two of which were Spotlights on our member photographers.
The first Spotlight follows Mackenzie Duncan, a Victoria, Canada-based photographer, and the ways in which he enhances his creativity through stillness. The article, Mackenzie Duncan Ignites His Creativity Through Mindfulness Meditation was written by publicist Bridget Barrett.
The second Photographer Spotlight, Refugees Who Became People: Erol Gurian With Ourvoice was written by publicist Sankha Wanigasekara. It peers into the work of Erol Gurian, a Munich, Germany-based photographer, who teaches a photojournalism workshop to teenagers in Beirut, Lebanon’s refugee camps.
ProPhotoDaily also shared our article, Expert Advice: Email Marketing Services For Photographers.
DIYphotography is a valuable resource for photographers, providing insights on all sides of the trade – from industry to craft, including tutorials, reviews, and more. This month, they shared two articles from our Intel blog.
The first, Specialty: What Is Landscape Photography? takes a look at landscape photography in the professional realm, as it can often be overlooked or generalized as a hobby in the age of social media and sunsets. The article dives into what it is, how to market it, and more.
DIYphotography also shared Expert Advice: The Photography Agent Contract which dives into what the relationship entails, and how to get the most out of it for your business.
